Coffee at Mornings in Paris
21 Western Avenue | Kennebunk, Maine
Kate's dad meets his Old Man Coffee Group (TM) here every morning - feel free to join if you happen to be awake at 6:30am (or just stop by once the sun comes up for coffee or a pastry). Open til 5pm.
-
Drinks at Ryan's Corner House
17 Western Avenue | Kennebunk, Maine
Classic Irish pub (there’s one everywhere, isn’t there?). Contribute to the decor and pin a dollar bill to the wall. A great choice post-welcome party if you’d like to keep socializing - open ‘til midnight.
-
Breakfast at Bev's Cafe
41 Main Street | Kennebunk, Maine
Cute cafe for delicious breakfast sandwiches, pastries, biscuits, and coffee (among other things) in the Upper Village. Great for breakfast and lunch.

One of Mitch's favorites - a great selection of saltwater taffy, fudges, and gummies.

Beers at Federal Jack's
8 Western Avenue | Kennebunk, Maine
A casual spot for hanging out with an enormous beer selection (and other drinks).

Breakfast at Mike's All Day Breakfast
55 Western Avenue | Kennebunk, Maine
Classic diner breakfast within walking distance of Dock Square.
-
Pancakes at the Palace Diner
18 Franklin Street | Biddeford, Maine
Definitely worth traveling to the next town over for the breakfast sandwich and pancakes at Maine's oldest diner. They stop serving pancakes at noon (and only have 15 counter seats), so go early.
What to do.
-
Walk to Walker's Point
Walker’s Point, Ocean Avenue | Kennebunkport, Maine
Take a walk (or a short drive) to the summer home of our 41st and 43rd Presidents, and take in some of the best ocean views in Maine on Ocean Ave. on your way.
Pro tip: If the flag is up, they're home!
-
Pick Apples at Spiller Farm
85 Spiller Farm Lane | Wells, Maine
The quintessential fall in New England activity in the town next door.
-
Visit Horatio Moody House
39 Summer Street | Kennebunk, Maine (AKA Kate's House)
Feel free to swing by and give a wave - just don't bother Nadine and Ted... they're busy making us a wedding!

-
Stop by the Beach
Gooch’s Beach - Middle Beach - Mother’s Beach | Kennebunk, Maine
Wouldn’t be a trip to coastal Maine without a stop at the beach. An excellent place to enjoy a lobster roll.
-
Hike Pleasant Mountain
39 Summer Street | Bridgton, Maine
For our fellow nature people, Pleasant Mountain is the tallest mountain in southern Maine. The hike is moderately challenging but can be done in sneakers, clocking in at around 3.3 miles round trip (via the Ledges Trail, about 2.5 hours) with incredible views at the top. Located in the Sebago Lake region, it’s in Kate’s favorite part of Maine… only 15 mins from Camp Walden (and about an hour from Kennebunk!
